What your Website needs to be hosted properly...
If you choose to go with one of our complete monthly Website plans, then we take care of all the details so you can save your time and money to take care of the other important aspects of running your business. However, if you choose to off-host or have your own host currently, here is what your Website will need to be hosted.
Linux Platform Webhosting
Your host will need to serve your pages from a Linux server. Linux as an open-source operating system is currently the leader in Internet servers. It is robust and lean enough to give fast results and not get bogged down with bloat. We choose not to use Microsoft (IIS) platform servers for obvious reasons. Too much overhead, too many issues, especially with file naming conventions and structures. Since we develop our Websites in PHP, not ASP (Microsoft), Linux is the only way to go. Additionally, Linux hosting is usually cheaper per month than Microsoft because of the lower overhead, personnel and maintenance services needed.
PHP - 'Pre-Hypertext Processor' Development
Your host will need PHP installed to serve your page content and architecture. Our Web development in PHP is clean, fast and efficient. Make sure PHP is installed and included in your package. Usually it's included free in Linux hosting packages. Other framework that we may need access to install is CakePHP.
Website size
Most Websites do not require many MBs of space. Hosts usually give you plenty of physical space nowadays to host your Website. If you have a large photography, video, or audio business that needs to host many of these larger types of files, then please consult with us first to get an idea of what size space hosting package you would need.
Website bandwidth
As with size, most hosts now give you more than adequate Website bandwidth (which is the amount of Web 'traffic' that your server is allotted to serve out.) If you have heavy advertising and promotions feeding traffic to your Website, then you will need a higher bandwidth package. This can build up fast so if you are planning a large portal type of site with many simultaneous users numbering in the thousands, then you will need large amounts of bandwidth on tap. If you run over, your host will charge you an overage (like the cell phone industry) or even cut off access to your site (like some free photo/file hosting Websites do.)

SYCLONE MEDIA'S GENERAL SERVICE AGREEMENT / POLICIES:
Full payment is required up-front for all services totaling under $1,000. Optional payment plan servicing for services totaling $1,000 and over is at the sole discretion and judgement of Syclone Media. Complete design work includes up to two minor revisions to design prior to final. Client must supply photos/stock/clip-art unless arrangements are made prior to final. "Page" constitutes 600 pixels wide by 2000 pixels long of electronic internet content. Prices are subject to change without notice. Syclone Media and its designers shall not be held liable nor responsible for copyright/trademark infringements made by clients in their design requests, and client assumes all responsibility for said infringements. Syclone Media reserves the right to refuse service for said infringements. Syclone Media reserves the right to adjust all package and individual service pricing, terms and conditions at any time for any reason whatsoever and without notice.
